Great Jack Quality
The midi cable that comes with the Monumatic is excellent; beautifully secure. I do have an aversion to spending lots of money on cables 😂. But, Jason do you have a recommendation of patch cables that fit with the same secure feel? Cheers BTW this a fabulously fun unit!

Monumatic filter seems broken / stuck in high-pass mode?
Hi all,
My Monumatic seems to be behaving strangely and I’m trying to figure out whether I’m missing something obvious or if the unit might actually be faulty.
The filter does not seem to respond properly. No matter how I set the switches — the small 3-way toggle together with the slider switch — it always sounds like the filter stays in high-pass mode. I’m not really hearing any meaningful change in filter character when switching modes.
I’ve tried a lot already: different settings, full reset, firmware update to 1.1.3. Same behavior throughout. It doesn’t matter whether I sequence it via MIDI or just use the trigger button manually.
Another thing I noticed: the unit also seems surprisingly quiet, even with the output volume fully up.
I bought it used, and it has behaved like this from the beginning, so I don’t really have a reference for what “normal” is…

Sorry to hear that your Monumatic isn’t working as expected. We’ve not come across this issue before and from what you’re describing it’s almost definitely hardware related. There is a possibility that the power cable is not fully connected. This would explain why the unit is working but very quiet since the op amps require both power rails to work. Try replacing or reconnecting the ribbon cable. If the issue persists and it has never worked properly you should contact the seller. Let me know how you get on.
