When turning the selector knob to select another sound, it sometimes fails to load. The symptoms are that the trigger LED flashes much longer than normal (like 2 seconds or so) and then there is no sound. Turning it again usually resolves the issue.

Check that the Part Select Switch is set to All. Other settings such as Sides and Hammer will show the same flashing led but changes in sound may not necessarily be audible.
