.pfon File Format

Hi wonderful people at Knobula!

I would like to know the technical specs of a pfon file to be able to improve, tweak, and troubleshoot some of the instruments I've created; and also be able automate some of the tediousness involved in creating them.

Is there a technical spec available for us power-users? I want to create instruments as nice as the factory presets! 😀

PS. As a Linux user and computer programming hobbyist, I'm not the least bit intimidated by technical details: e.g. endianness, bit rate, encoding, etc. and use a fair bit of ffmpeg, SoX, Ardour, and Audacity.

I'd love to be able to access the scripts (or at least a template/skeleton of one) and be able to tinker over the holidays. But even if script access is not possible e.g. if prohibited by IP, license agreements, and things like that, a good technical description could probably suffice as an alternative.

I've been wanting to improve some of the drafts I've created with Waveslicer that aren't perfect for one reason or another. And no technical support is needed! I've been fiddling with Python for years and I'm sure I'll figure out how make these instruments sound their absolute best.

PS. In case you've gotten blocked by my email server, my handle on GitHub is useirc.

Thanks again.
