I was just thinking another plus would be that it would probably have to capture the V/oct when triggered, which is a nice change from the way most VCOs work where the pitch might change while the envelope decays. I didn't know about Surface, I was kinda thinking about Rings, either way the pad sounds and ADSR on Poly Cinematic are much different and sound more useful for the kind of music I make than either of these.
